What is Girls’ Brigade?

Girls’ Brigade is a Christian organisation where the girls learn and develop their skills and knowledge through working towards badges. The aim is to complete 4 badges during the year. These are presented to the girls and worn on special shoulder bags.

When is Girls’ Brigade?

Explorers, Juniors and Seniors meet in St Andrews Church Hall on Friday nights during school terms. We start at 6.30pm and finish at 8.00pm.

What should the girls wear?

The girls are required to wear a uniform consisting of a Girls’ Brigade Polo Shirt with a different colour for each section. Navy Girls’ Brigade Hoodies are also available. It is preferable that the girls wear ‘sensible’ flat shoes or trainers that are suitable for running games/physical activities.

What does it cost?

There is a £25 registration fee payable on enrolment, this goes towards the insurance costs that we have to pay Girls’ Brigade Headquarters per child. The weekly £1.50 charge goes towards providing your child with a drink, resources (pens, paper, craft materials etc.) and a donation to the Church towards heating and electricity etc.
