Girls Brigade

We are still awaiting permission to reopen the Church rooms for any of our groups. We will update the website and Facebook page as soon as we know any details. (8.9.20)

We look forward to seeing you there!

What is Girls’ Brigade?

Girls’ Brigade is a Christian organisation where the girls learn and develop their skills and knowledge through working towards badges. The aim is to complete 4 badges during the year. These are presented to the girls and worn on special shoulder bags.

When is Girls’ Brigade?

Explorers, Juniors and Seniors meet in St Andrews Church Hall on Friday nights during school terms. Girls should aim to arrive between 6.15pm and 6.30pm for a 6.30pm start. We finish at 8.15pm.

What should the girls wear?

The girls are required to wear a uniform consisting of a Girls’ Brigade Polo Shirt with a different colour for each section. Navy Girls’ Brigade Hoodies are also available. It is preferable that the girls wear ‘sensible’ flat shoes or trainers that are suitable for running games/physical activities.

What does it cost?

There is a £25 registration fee payable on enrolment, this is to cover insurance costs that we have to pay per child. The weekly £1.50 charge goes towards providing your child with drinks and resources (pens, paper, craft materials etc.)
